A quiet weaving puzzle.

Loom

Fill the cloth.

Start weaving

A quiet weaving puzzle.

A few looms. Pieces that keep joining the quilt.

How to play ↓
A teak loom, brass pins and indigo, madder and turmeric spools on a linen-covered table in the evening light.

01 / A seat by the window

Let the day
unravel.

Wood warmed by the evening light. A spool waiting for your hand. The soft hum of tanpura as you find a path through the linen.

A little logic. A quieter rhythm.
Cotton in flax and simple blocks, aubergine Silk with crossing bands, and indigo Ikat with feathered diamonds; three yarn spools rest below.

02 / Familiar companions

Every cloth has
a character.

The warmth of cotton. The give and take of silk. The small surprises of ikat.
Get to know them, one thread at a time.

01 / The gentle beginning

Cotton

Warm, plainspoken, patient. A first thread finds its partner; a small square becomes whole.

02 / The quiet conversation

Silk

One thread makes room for another. Over, then under. A rhythm you begin to feel.

03 / The curious one

Ikat

A different outline. A crossing with a direction of its own. Familiar threads find new ways through.

Indigo, madder, turmeric. Every spool has a part to play.

03 / The moment it comes together

One last thread.
And then, cloth.

The last empty squares disappear beneath the yarn. The crossing settles, over and under. What was a puzzle is now something you made.

Every loose end finds a home.

The last thread becomes a woven pieceOne piece, with the last thread still loose. Blue and red cross at the centre, blue on top. The yellow triangle thread climbs the left edge and travels across the top to its matching peg, filling the remaining squares. The grid fades into aubergine cloth, with all three yarn paths woven into it.
One last thread.Every pair tied. Every square woven.

04 / Made a little at a time

A piece today.
A quilt in time.

Every finished piece joins your quilt. Cotton leads into Silk, then Ikat. Small discoveries sit beside each other, until you can see how far your hands have travelled.

Today’s weave

A new piece each day. A little ritual to return to, with a streak that follows along.

Finished pieces, boards in progress, hints, your daily streak and settings are saved in this browser when storage is available.
